I'd like to learn to swing dance...where can I learn in Fort Collins?

As the song goes, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. So if you want to mean something, here are a few places in Fort Collins to

The Rhythm Company gives a hour long beginner, intermediate and advanced swing lessons at Old Town Yoga for $5/person prior to a two-hour dance each Saturday.

The Dancer Guy offers a variety of classes in different types of swing dance. Hour and fifteen minute classes are offered weekly in four week sets for $30.

Smooth Dance Connection 45 minute swing lessons every Tuesday in the basement of the Cafe Vino Building. $6 per class or $20 per month.

Most dance instructors offer private classes as well, so if you want to Lindy Hop on your own, check in with any of these instructors.

And when you're ready to head out and show of your moves, check Meetup for local swing dances.

Are there hip hop classes for kids around age 11 in Fort Collins?

Kids today. It's all hippity and hoppity and you know what?

It's freaking amazing.

Seriously, watch these kids get after it at the 1:40 mark.

There are a number of good places in Fort Collins for an 11-year-old to learn hip hop dance. High Country Dance, Stylz Dance Studio and Studio West Dance Center all advertise hip hop dance classes by age group. Check them out to see which one is right for your kid.

And when they start dancing like this, be sure to send me the video.

Where can you go in Fort Collins to get Rocky Mountain oysters?

Rocky Mountain oysters? A bold food experiment. I salute you. From waaaaaaaaaay over here.

While not for everyone, some do claim them to be a delicacy. And if that's your thing, you're in luck. There are three places in or near Fort Collins to meet your need.

Bruce's Bar is probably the most famous restaurant in the area for RM Oysters, boasting all your can eat nights Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While not in Fort Collins, if bulk eats is your thing, the drive to Severance is well worth it. A regular order will run you about $9. Add $3 more if you want to try Black Hills Oysters (Buffalo).

Jim's Wings in Campus West is frequently in the discussion for the best wings in Fort Collins. Byt buffalo wings aren't the only improperly named item on this menu. Jim's Surf and Turf combines of RM Oysters and calamari for $7.45.

The Sundance Steakhouse & Saloon on Mulberry says those are bulls people are riding, but with RM Oysters on the menu, don't be so sure. Made with a plain breading or with a mix of chili peppers, this dish will run you about $8.

And if frying them up isn't your thing, here's a Rocky Mountain oyster stew recipe to keep your warm and toasty through the winter months.

But please, no need to share.

Really.

It's fine.

Are there any adult basketball leagues in Windsor?

Looking to relive the glory days on the hardwood, huh? Good news: Windsor's a great place to employ that killer crossover (for guys, that is). So break out the Chucks and your best headband and let's hoop it up in Northern Colorado's favorite dual county town.

The Town of Windsor runs three different divisions for men 18 and up. For two 20 minute halves on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, you'll chase each other up and down the court with the hope of not pulling anything.

The spring league starts in mid-Janurary and finishes with a tournament in mid-March. The deadline to register your team is Janurary 6, 2014. Registration runs $425 per team. You can have as many players as you want to try to manage minutes for, but don't be surprised when the 54th guy on the roster gets launches an airball from half court.

For more information on the league, you can call 970.674.3500 or visit http://www.windsorgov.com/index.aspx?NID=842

Fort Collins Answerizer: What will you ask?

There are lots of things The Answerizer isn't good at.

  5. Awkward small talk at the office holiday party
  6. Saving you 15 percent or more on your car insurance
  7. And so on...

Really, there's just one thing The Answerizer is good for. But that one thing, I'm really, really good at.

If you're looking for somewhere to play hopscotch in Fort Collins, just ask.

Curious to know if there were any players on the Yankees from Fort Collins, that's what I'm here to help with. And so on.
